How can I help?

Pray

1) Use the Prayer Calendar and be faithful in committed, focused prayer for the country, it's people, it's political leaders, it's church leaders and their ministries, it's believers and their desire to reach out to the rest of their people.

2) We need people outside of BiH to be champions in their local churches, that more people are joining with the believers of BiH in prayer: people who are committed to seeing information about this project distributed in their locality. If you are able and feel called to be used in this way, make regular use of this website to gather information and present the project formally or informally to your church. Maybe make an announcement each month, use our prayer resources to raise the profile of the Year of Prayer. Maybe there are a few people in your church who would like to be involved but don't have access to the internet, can you help them get information.

3) Enlist 10 people to gather and pray with you and in this way spread the word about the Year Of Prayer in Bosnia - Herzegovina (BiH).

4) Perhaps, if you are gifted in crafts you could make prayer reminders of various kinds and distribute them at your church and among your friends. Is there a possibility of the Sunday school/youth group getting involved in this?

5) Be a good neighbour to anyone from BiH that may live in your area. Make them aware of the project in their country (there's every chance they don't know about it) and let them know that you are praying for them. Include them in your daily prayers, and find out if there is any way you can further serve them.

There will be several opportunities for teams and individuals to come to BiH to join with the locals in prayer for their nation, to be involved with prayer walks, church ministries and conferences throughout the year.

Why does a prayer initiative need money?

We will be facilitating three prayer conferences throughout the year. Alongside the obvious expenses of hosting conferences, it is often very difficult for national believers to find the money to attend such events. We do not want lack of money to be an obstacle in the way of encouraging believers to pray for their situation and to strengthen the church. We will be organising transport and accommodation for these believers at a subsidised rate while praying that God will step in and cover the subsidy.

Donations should made to your nearest Operation Mobilisation field office (addresses below) with a cheque and a covering note reading "Year of Prayer project in Bosnia - Herzegovina." If you are in a country not mentioned here please contact us saying where you are and we will provide you with the nearest address.
